Where: Rentschler Field, Hartford, United StatesWhen: Saturday, October 14, 9 pm ET
The United States welcome Germany in an international friendly event which will take place at the Rentschler Field. While on one side, the American team looks solid and is experiencing a rise in form, the Germans are struggling to perform well and are under heavy pressure months before the start of the EURO, which will occur on their soil. The switch to the head coaching position is something forced and a reason more for tension among the German fans.
USA vs. Germany Preview
The Americans have won the previous two events played, one against Uzbekistan and the other vs. Oman, by a combined goal difference of 7-0. Sure, these two rivals aren’t good for determining the true strength of this unit, but the victories have boosted the unit’s morale.
Yanks had only one loss in the past 10 events, which was at the Gold Cup against Panama, and in the meantime, they defeated Mexico, had a tie with the same rivals, but triumphed over Canada on two occasions. In general, the team has been trying to take its game to another level, and the meeting against Germany will be a perfect opportunity for doing so.
America is playing disciplined and tactical football. Christian Pulisic is the best player, with him dictating the pace and the rhythm on the field. They also have several other rising stars who could explode anytime soon.
This might be the worst period for a German national team fan in the past several years. The team was falling apart, the overall situation in the FA wasn’t very good, and head coach Hasi Flick had to go. Instead of the former Bayern Munich strategist, another guy who led the team from Allianz Arena, Julian Nagelsmann, took over.
With less than a year until the EURO 2024, Germany struggles to look average. And they planned to attack the continental title. Until beating the demotivated France, 2-1, they had five straight friendlies without a win, losing four of them.
The beating this team experienced at home to Japan, 1-4, is one of the biggest disgraces in their football history.

USA vs. Germany Head to Head
The two sides met for the last time some eight years ago when the USA defeated Germany, the reigning World champions at the time, 1-2.
USA vs. Germany Predictions
We predict a high-scoring affair here, with the Germans lacking toughness in the back line but having a very good attack. The US team is solid in all the lines but will simply be forced to enter an open battle against the Germans, who don’t know how to play otherwise.
Our verdict: Over 2.5 goals
