Ukraine v England – Football & Racing News – Star Sports

England continue their EURO 2024 qualifying campaign as they make the trip to Poland to face-off with Ukraine at the Tarczynski Arena on Saturday.

As you might perhaps expect, England have made a strong start to their qualifying campaign; winning all of their first four matches in Group C which has included victories over Italy and Saturday’s opponents Ukraine.

When these two sides last met, a quickfire double in the first-half from Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka was enough to seal a 2-0 triumph for Gareth Southgate’s men at Wembley Stadium.

It was thought that, perhaps, coming into this international break that Southgate might re-jig his squad with Harry Maguire having not played any minutes for Manchester United and Jordan Henderson moving to Saudi Arabia, but both players have been selected.

Whether they both start remains to be seen, of course, and Southgate may still decide to opt for some fresher faces such as Eddie Nketiah who could be in line for his first senior cap on Saturday.

Ukraine have also made a strong start to EURO 2024 qualifying and, after three games, currently sit in second-place; three points ahead of managerless Italy.

Their most recent outing was a 1-0 win over Malta in June where the match was decided by a Viktor Tsyhankov penalty in the 72nd-minute.

Ukraine will present England with a challenge on Saturday, with players that English football fans will be aware of like Oleksandr Zinchenko, but I fancy England to get the job done in Poland.

Harry Kane has started life at Bayern Munich in terrific form and I am expecting him to continue this on the international stage and that is why I am backing him to score anytime at evens with starsports.bet.

I also like the look of a bet of England to win 3-0, 3-1 or 4-0 which Star Sports have boosted to an appealing bet of 7/2 from a price of 11/4.
