Trump odds for re-election shorten following Iowa landslide – Football & Racing News – Star Sports

Republican candidate 11/10 from 11/8 to be elected President

Donald Trump’s convincing victory in the Iowa caucuses has seen his odds shorten even further for the presidential election later this year, according to Star Sports.

The Republican candidate has been backed into 11/10 from his price of 11/8 earlier this week, with punters confident his Iowa success story is the first of many this year.

In addition, the American politician is the overwhelming 1/10 favourite to come out on top in the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary next week, over Nikki Haley (5/1), and Ron DeSantis (50/1).

Meanwhile, current President Joe Biden is 15/8 for a second term in the White House.

William Kedjanyi, Political Betting Analyst at Star Sports, said: “Donald Trump’s historical victory in the Iowa caucuses saw him win the most votes in all but one of Iowa’s 99 counties, resulting in his odds to win the presidential election later this year shorten from 11/8 to 11/10.

“His dominant showing in Iowa has made him a 1/10 shot to be the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary winner next week, with next-best bet Nikki Haley a 5/1 shot and Ron DeSantis trailing behind at 50/1.”
