Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham – Football & Racing News – Star Sports

Tottenham will be hoping to continue their fine start to life under Ange Postecoglou when they face London rivals Fulham on Monday night.

The start Tottenham have made to the campaign will surely have exceeded the expectations of even the most optimistic of Spurs supporter.

A win on Monday night would take them back to the top of the Premier League – and with a healthy two-point cushion too after Arsenal dropped points to Chelsea over the weekend.

In their most recent outing, Spurs had to show the resilince of a good side when they defeated Luton Town at Kenilworth Road despite going down to ten men in the first-half thanks to a ridiculous dive from Yves Bissouma.

Bissouma, of course, will be suspended for this Monday night clash which should pave way for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to come back into the side after a spell on the subs bench.

It has been a mixed start to the Premier League season who, although are well clear of the bottom-three as it stands, don’t look like they have kicked on much from last season.

Their most recent outing was a good win, though, as the Cottagers saw off struggling Sheffield United thanks to goals from Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Willian as well as an own-goal from Wes Foderingham.

Marco Silva will be hoping to back that up with another win on Monday night, but will know that they face a tough challenge against in-form Tottenham Hotspur.

With Tottenham currently having the highest xG in the Premier League, as well as players like Son Heung-min and James Maddison bang in form, I am expecting goals here. At 20/21 with, I am backing Spurs and over 2.5 goals.
