Sheff Utd v Arsenal – Football & Racing News – Star Sports

Many are assuming the result of this Premier League match on Monday night will be foregone conclusion, but can basement boys Sheffield United pull off a shock against title-challenging Arsenal at Bramall Lane? writes JOE CITRONE

The seasons of both Sheffield United and Burnley, both of whom romped home to promotion from the second-tier last term, has demonstrated the ever-growing gap between the Championship and Premier League.

Both clubs have picked up just 13 points so far this season and look destined for immediate relegation back down to the Championship.

Despite returning hero Chris Wilder replacing Paul Heckingbottom in December, Sheffield United’s fortunes have not changed.

The Blades have won just one of their last 10 Premier League fixtures and it would take a brave person to predict anything other than another defeat for them on Monday night.

It is looking like a three-horse race for the Premier League title this season, and with Arsenal seemingly clicking into gear at the right time, Mikel Arteta’s side look well in with a chance of securing their first Premier League title in 20 years.

In their most recent Premier League outing, the Gunners secured a resounding 4-1 victory over Newcastle United that would have sent a statement out to the rest of the division that they mean business in this title race.

Key players, particularly Bukayo Saka, really seem to have hit into their stride in recent weeks which will come as a huge boost to Arsenal as they prepare for the run-in.

⭐ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐

This is hardly a hot take here, but I simply can’t see anything other than a convincing Arsenal victory (hopefully not famous last words). I am backing an Arsenal win to nil at 4/5 with starsports.bet.

Also, considering his fine form of late, I like the look of Saka scoring first which starsports.bet have boosted to a price of 4/1 from 7/2.
