🔴 NOTTINGHAM FOREST v TOTTENHAM ⚪
Friday, 8pm

⭐ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐

The City Ground should be bouncing as Nottingham Forest take on high-fliers Tottenham under the lights on Friday night.

Forest eased the pressure on manager Steve Cooper by coming from behind to salvage a 1-1 draw at Wolves last weekend, but it is still one win in their last 12 Premier League games for the hosts.

I fancied Tottenham strongly to end their four-game winning run against Newcastle last weekend and they did not let us down by running out comfortable 4-1 victors.

Given that Forest have only won one home game since beating Sheffield United in August, it is hard to see past another victory for the North Londoners, and I fancy goals to keep the armchair TV viewers entertained, after all Spurs have not kept a clean sheet sin ce October.

The question is are Forest good enough going forward to take advantage? I’m not sure they are, especially with top-scorer Taiwo Awoniyi still sidelined, but they are capable of at least getting on the scoresheet so over 2.5 goals in the game looks a solid option for the second part of my build-a-bet.

Destiny Udogie scored the opener against Newcastle and Ange ‘That’s who we are mate’ Postecoglu will not change his gung-ho approach and actively encourages his full backs to bomb forward. Pedro Porro carried a real goal threat against Newcastle so I am going to add the Spaniard to score at any time to the treble.

A build-a-bet of Tottenham to win, over 2.5 goals and Pedro Porro to score at any time returns 9/1 with starsports.bet

⚫ NEWCASTLE v FULHAM ⚪
Saturday, 3pm

⭐ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐

Newcastle suffered Champions League heartache in mid-week as they were sent crashing out by AC Milan.

My selection of Newcastle to win to nil was looking good at half-time after they dominated the first half and took a deserved lead through Joelinton’s thunderbolt, but the nature of their second half collapse will have been a big concern for manager Eddie Howe.

The injury-depleted Magpies were running on empty by the end of the game, as they were in defeat at Tottenham on Sunday while Fulham’s confidence will be sky high after back-to-back 5-0 wins over Nottingham Forest and West Ham.

I think the short turnaround between games could be a problem for Newcastle and am tempted to put up Fulham to win at 3/1 with starsports.bet

However, given the hosts do not often lose at St James’s Park I am going to play a little safer by backing Fulham to win (draw no bet) at 2/1 with starsports.bet.

🟣 BURNLEY v EVERTON 🔵
Saturday, 5.30pm

⭐ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐

The Sean Dyche derby sees Burnley host in-form Everton at Turf Moor.

Without their ten-point deduction, the Toffees would be being talked about as European contenders, and this no longer has the feel of a relegation six-pointer as far as the visitors are concerned.

I was asked on a podcast this week if Burnley have turned a corner after taking four points from their last three games, but, having seen them at Brighton last weekend, I am not convinced that is the case.

But for an inspired display of goalkeeping from James Trafford, the Clarets would have been well beaten and I can see Everton continuing their upward trajectory by picking up a fourth successive victory – something they have not managed for 13 months.

Everton to win is 11/10 with starsports.bet.

James Tarkowski scored against his former club in Everton’s 3-0 EFL Cup win over the Clarets in August and Tarkowski is 17/2 with starsports.bet to score at any time and repeat the trick, which is tempting given Vincent Kompany’s Burnley never convince me with their set-piece defending.
