Notts County will be hoping to bounce back from four consecutive defeats in all competitions when they face Bradford City on Saturday afternoon, who will be under the stewardship of new boss Graham Alexander.
On the whole, it has been a very strong start to the campaign for Notts County who, after winning promotion from the National League via the play-offs last term, are currently fifth in League Two after 17 matches.
They need to arrest this dip in form as quickly as possible, though, and not let it become a rut that sees them quickly slide away from the chasing pack at the top of the League Two table.
County were buoyed by the news, though, that manager Luke Williams – who had been strongly linked with the managerial position at League One side Oxford United – has reaffirmed his commitment to the club.
His departure, coupled with the recent dip in results, could have spelled disaster for the Magpies.

Bradford City, who will have harboured hopes of promotion after going close last term, have not enjoyed a positive start to the season.
This resulted in Mark Hughes, who of course has managed Manchester City, Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City in the past, losing his job with the club. He has now been replaced by Graham Alexander who started the season as manager of MK Dons.
In Alexander’s first match in charge last week, the scale of the job at hand was brought into sharp focus as the Bantams were beaten 2-1 at home by Pete Wild’s Barrow with George Ray grabbing the late winner.
If Bradford are going to be anywhere near the promotion race this season, something needs to radically change and it needs to happen fast.
⭐ NOTTS COUNTY v BRADFORD STARSPORTS.BET MARKETS ⭐
However, despite their slight dip in form in recent weeks, I think Notts County will be the side to come out on top in this one and am backing that at 5/6 with starsports.bet.
Also, given his goalscoring prowesses which have seen him bag 11 league goals already this season, I like the look of Macauley Langstaff to get the scoring underway on Saturday afternoon at 13/5.
