Fresh off the back of that 3-0 win over Manchester United in midweek, Newcastle United now face a tough test in the Premier League as they welcome title-chasing Arsenal to St James’ Park on Saturday.
In a replay of the EFL Cup final in March, Newcastle managed to enact revenge on United as Eddie Howe’s men comfortably swept the Red Devils aside in a 3-0 win with goals coming from Miguel Almiron, Lewis Hall and Joe Willock.
They will be keen to continue that momentum in the league now and get back to winning ways after the Magpies were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw against Wolves last week.
Howe has got a bit of a headache on his hands with both Sven Botman and Alexander Isak, key players for the Magpies at opposite ends of the pitch, sidelined through injury but will have been buoyed by how some of his fringe players performed on Wednesday night.

Arsenal were dumped out of the EFL Cup by West Ham in midweek in very disappointing fashion and, although their priority will obviously be the Premier League, they will want to put that behind them as quickly as possible.
An own-goal from Ben White and strikes from Mohamed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen secured a spot in the quarter-finals for the Hammers and a disappointing evening for the Gunners who will have to look elsewhere if they are to pick up any silverware this season.
They mustn’t let that distract them from the fact, though, that it has been another strong start to the campaign with Mikel Arteta’s men finding themselves just two points off the top of the table with 10 games played in the Premier League.
⭐ NEWCASTLE v ARSENAL STARSPORTS.BET MARKETS ⭐
These are two teams who know where the back of the net is so I am hoping for a goal-fest on Saturday afternoon at St James’ Park. Five of Newcastle’s last six games have produced over 2.5 goals and we all know about the attacking quality that Arsenal possess with the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
Although I expect Arsenal to nick a victory here, I do think both sides will have some joy in front of goal and that’s why I am backing Arsenal and both teams to score at 7/2 with starsports.bet. I also like the look of Saka to score anytime at 12/5.
