Money flies in for Sope Dirisu in next James Bond betting – Football & Racing News – Star Sports

Gangs of London actor 8/1 from 16/1

There’s a big mover in the next James Bond market, with Sope Dirisu backed to replace Daniel Craig with Star Sports.

Ahead of his appearance in the highly anticipated third season of Sky Atlantic’s Gangs of London, the British actor has received a lot of support in the betting, slicing his odds in half from 16/1 to 8/1.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is still the frontrunner at 7/4 to put on the tux, with fan-favourite Henry Cavill (3/1) just in behind, meanwhile Damson Idris occupies the third spot at 7/2.

Luke Tarr, Head of PR at Star Sports, said: “Following his performances in Gangs of London and Slow Horses, the public think Sope Dirisu would be a good fit to replace Daniel Craig and appear as the next James Bond.

“Dirisu has received a lot of support in the betting in recent days to sport the tuxedo and has been backed into 8/1 from 16/1 to assume the prestigious role of 007.

“Aaron Taylor-Johnson still remains our favourite at 7/4, followed by Henry Cavill at 3/1, with Damson Idris taking third spot at 7/2.”
