Luton v Tottenham – Football & Racing News – Star Sports

Luton have their first win under their belt in the Premier League, but face a very tough test on Saturday as they face in-form Tottenham Hotspur at Kenilworth Road in the lunchtime kick-off.

At Goodison Park last week, the Hatters picked up their first victory of the campaign against a hapless Everton with Tom Lockyer and Carlton Morris grabbing the crucial goals.

Frustratingly for Rob Edwards’ men, they were unable to back that up in their midweek fixture against Burnley with Vincent Kompany’s side grabbing an important victory thanks to a late winner from Jacob Bruun Larsen.

Amari’i Bell picked up an injury in that game and will miss out on this one, but Reece Burke should be able to deputise and Ross Barkley is pushing for a return as well.

Spurs’ victory over Liverpool last weekend wasn’t without its controversy, but did propel Ange Postecoglou’s men into second-place in the Premier League after an impressive start to the campaign.

The furore regarding the goal that wasn’t – Luis Diaz’s first-half strike that was wrongly disallowed by VAR – is not yet over with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp asking for a replay recently. However, Spurs will have to move on from it as they look to continue their good form.

The club feels totally different from the one that was managed by Antonio Conte last season with Postecoglou injecting some much-needed energy and enthusiasm.

⭐ LUTON v SPURS STARSPORTS.BET MARKETS ⭐

Spurs must not fall into the trap of underestimating Luton Town, but do find themselves as 4/9 favourites with starsports.bet for a reason and I can see their quality shining through once again here.

I can see there being plenty of goals in this one. Tottenham, in particular, know how to create chances; Spurs have had 138 attempts on goal this season which is more than any other side in the league. I, therefore, like the look of Spurs and over 2.5 goals at 20/21 with starsports.bet.

On top of that, with it looking like he’s coming into good form, I also like the look of Son Heung-min to score first at 16/5.
