It has not been totally plain-sailing for Leeds since their return to the Championship, but they have the opportunity to get their first win of the campaign when they take on West Bromwich Albion at Elland Road on Friday night.
It has been a summer of big change at Leeds, with a number of high-profile players departing the club – many on loan – but still very few coming in meaning that Leeds have been operating with a very small squad for the opening few weeks of the season.
Daniel Farke, although obviously frustrated, has said that he knew what he signed up for and that things will improve, but it hasn’t exactly been an ideal start to the campaign for Leeds.
Their most recent outing was a 1-0 defeat at Birmingham City where a late Lukas Jutkiewicz penalty was enough to secure the points for the Blues, and Leeds will be looking to bounce back from that on Friday night.

It is one loss and one win from West Brom’s opening two games as the Baggies bounced back from an opening day defeat with a 3-2 victory over Swansea City in their most recent Championship outing.
Carlos Corberan’s side had to hold off a late Swans fightback with Nathan Wood pulling two goals back for the away side after West Brom had raced into a 3-0 lead, but the Baggies got the job done in the end to get up and running in the Championship.
They will be looking to build on that on Friday night against Leeds and, despite it not including a recognised centre-forward, Corberan may opt to go with the same line-up as the Swansea victory as they look to build momentum.
I expect Leeds to recover from this rough start, but they need to recruit more players first and therefore have West Brom to win this one which you can back at 13/5 with starsports.bet.
