Kempton Wednesday Preview – Football & Racing News – Star Sports

A couple of nice Christmas presents on Boxing Day with a double at Aintree! Cherie D’Am travelled like a dream for me and won the mares handicap hurdle in good style whilst Snipe came away in grand style to win the three mile handicap chase later in the afternoon writes HARRY SKELTON.

I’m heading to Kempton On Wednesday for five rides so fingers crossed the form continues …

– 12:45pm Ladbrokes Boost Your Odds On Racing Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 2m

He’s into handicap company now off the back of a wind operation and seems to be going nicely at home. We think he’ll want a step up in trip at some point but we just want to see how he gets on in his first handicap. He has a nice bit of form to his name already so fingers crossed he runs all right.

– 1:20pm To Win Free Music Tickets “Introductory” Juvenile Hurdle (GBB Race) (Class 2) 2m

First day at school for this one who I ride for Anthony Charlton. It’s his first start in the UK and first over jumps too but his form in Germany is pretty smart including a Group 3 third at Cologne. He should handle the forecast good ground well and we’ll know plenty more about him after this first outing. The bar is set pretty high for him to aim at though with Sir Gino looking the obvious danger after his Listed race win at Auteuil and he now makes his first start for Nicky Henderson.

– 2:30pm Ladbrokes Desert Orchid Handicap Chase (Grade 2) (Limited Handicap) (GBB Race) (Class 1) 2m

The handicapper has dropped him a few pounds off the back of his past few runs, so it’ll be interesting to see how he gets on here in a handicap at a track he’s had success at in the past. He beat Altior in this race a couple of seasons ago. Although he’s been struggling on the very soft ground, we’re interested to see how he gets on in handicap company.

– 3:09pm Ladbrokes Get Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Chase (GBB Race) (Class 2) 3m

He’s a horse that’s been in great form of late and looks really good at home, winning his last race at Ludlow. We’ve been taking our time with him during the races, letting him pass horses and he seems to be enjoying that.

– 3:40pm Ladbrokes Fanzone Mares’ Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race) (Class 2) 3m 121y

Martha Brae was given a really good ride the last day by Fergus Gillard to pick up some black-type and the three miles should suit her really well. She’s a good, tough and honest mare so we hope she’ll go well.

Good Luck
