The battle for the top spot in Group H of the EURO 2024 qualifiers takes place in Copenhagen. The home team takes on Slovenia, with both units having 19 points following eight rounds of action. Slovenians have a slightly better goal difference and are coming into this battle more relaxed, as one point finishes the job for them. We have to say that Kazakhstan sits behind these teams with 15 points, waiting for its chance to slip into one of the top two spots.
Denmark vs. Slovenia Preview
The Danes have recovered since losing to Kazakhstan in Marchi this year, recording six contests in a row without a defeat. They had five victories and one draw and currently ride a four-game winning streak, which saw them defeating San Marino, Finland, Kazakhstan, and San Marino again.
Hojlund and the guys have successfully forgotten the poor campaign at the World Cup, managing to rise and get back on the winning path. Danes had high hopes for the tournament in Qatar, and the ending there was a huge blow.
The only defeat at home in the previous dozen meetings was against Croatia in the UEFA Nations League in June 2022. In the majority of the games in their own soild, Denmark isn’t conceding. For example, in five of the previous seven that occurred.
Slovenia has been fantastic in the past 12 months, having just one defeat since June last year. We can say that this unit is the biggest positive surprise of the qualifiers, with them having only one loss in eight encounters, which was against Finland on the road, 2-0.
After that failure, the Slovenians played 1-1 vs. Denmark in Ljubljana, and then went on to win four games in a row, scoring 12 times during that stretch and keeping three clean sheets.
The rivals weren’t some big-caliber teams – Northern Ireland twice, San Marino, and Finland, but still, Slovenia’s displays must be acknowledged. The team is on the rise.

Denmark vs. Slovenia Predictions
The home team is a favorite, and there’s plenty of reason for that. The first is excellent form, while the second would be very convincing displays in Copenhagen. We also take into account the first meeting in which Denmark showed more, so we expect them to win this contest.
