Coventry v Huddersfield – Football & Racing News – Star Sports

Huddersfield Town begin their new era under Darren Moore with an away trip to last season’s play-off finalists Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena on Monday night.

It hasn’t been the start that Coventry will have wanted this season with Mark Robin’s men sitting in 19th-position with seven points from their opening seven fixtures.

It shouldn’t be wholly unexpected with two of Coventry’s main players last season, Viktor Gyokeres and Gustavo Hamer, both departing the club and, naturally, they were never going to be easy to replace.

The Sky Blues should remember, though, that they suffered a poor start to last season which ended at Wembley Stadium in the play-off final and that there is still plenty of football left to be played.

Neil Warnock announced last week that he was departing his role as Huddersfield Town manager after six months in charge and that the Wednesday clash with Stoke City would be his last match at the helm.

That game ended in a 2-2 draw with Huddersfield coming from behind – showing true Warnock fight and heart – to earn a point with goals coming from Matty Pearson and Jack Rudoni.

⭐ COVENTRY v HUDDERSFIELD STARSPORTS.BET MARKETS ⭐

The appointment of Darren Moore was swift and he will be in the dugout for this clash, looking for a winning start to life as Terriers boss after his departure from Sheffield Wednesday in the summer.

The Terriers come into this one in better form and, in Darren Moore, I think they have made a positive appointment and should be able to continue their solid form of late. At 31/10 with starsports.bet, I am backing Huddersfield to come away with an away win.
