Chelsea v Arsenal – Football & Racing News – Star Sports

In the second local affair of the day in the Premier League, London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal go head-to-head at Stamford Bridge.

Very much in keeping with the disasters of last season, it has been a tough start to the campaign for Chelsea. If their goal was to get back into Europe this term, there is plenty of work to do as the Blues already find themselves six points adrift of the top-four.

They are coming into this one, though, with a bit of renewed optimism after back-to-back victories over Fulham and Burnley.

The win over Burnley, their most recent Premier League outing, was a comfortable one with goals from Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson – as well as an own-goal from Ameen Al-Dakhil – securing a 4-1 triumph for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

The aim now for Chelsea will be to build on that, but face a tough test against Arsenal at the weekend and their injury worries show no sign of easing with Jackson, Axel Disasi and Reece James all facing late fitness tests.

Arsenal have become very serious title contenders after their fantastic win over reigning champions Manchester City in their most recent Premier League outing before the international break.

A late strike from Gabriel Martinelli was enough to seal maximum points for the Gunners and move them above Manchester City in the table and level on points with table-topping Tottenham Hotspur.

⭐ ARSENAL v CHELSEA STARSPORTS.BET MARKETS ⭐

The Gunners do have a couple of injury doubts and Bukayo Saka is one of those after he missed that victory over Manchester City through injury.

However, I expect Arsenal to get the job done at Stamford Bridge on Saturday against an injury-hit Chelsea and am backing that at 5/4 with starsports.bet.
