| Appearing in Weekly World News October 5, 1999 edition is yet another big spiel about the perilous times to come. This one, as well as others, routinely put their faith and trust into false prophets such as Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, Futurist Robert Colins, Psychic Paul Peters, Christian Visionary Phillippe Ralle,
Futurist Janice Saymour and hordes of others. Yes, sometimes they even break out a few prophecies from the Bible, but usually they grossly mishandle the infallible Word of God and even then it is only used to suit a certain desire of the tacky journalists who pump out this blasphemous garbage.
Folks, the Word of God is the only true authority. If you want to know the future then look at what God has had to say about the future. One of God's testimonies that He is who He says He is, the divine Author of the Bible, is that He has placed in His Word nearly 8000 verses of prophecy. He chose the men whom would record His Words to
us and He spoke to them about the events to come. He told His prophets the end from the beginning.
He has never been wrong. In His sovereignty and omnipresence He has been excruciatingly exact in His prophetic program. Of the nearly 8000 verses of prophecy in the Bible, 90% of them have come to pass with exact accuracy. The remaining 10% are either coming to pass now, or will soon come to pass as we race toward the end.
So why does the world pay attention to these fallible visionaries and false prophets found in tacky tasteless magazines and periodicals? Well one reason is just that. Because they are found in these worthless forms of media. The press pumps this junk out to the public, and the public being totally ignorant of the truth of God's Word snaps it
up and believes it.
But why should we pay no mind to false prophets such as Nostradamus, Cayce and the multitude of other sorcerers, seers and a host of other necromancers who are deeply rooted in witchcraft and divination?
3 Good reasons:
- 1) God tells us to have nothing to do with them.
Deut 18:10-12
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD:
Rev 21:8
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Lev 19:31
31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
- 2) If they are not of God, then they cannot be trusted
2 Tim 3:13
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
Matt 24:11
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Matt 24:24
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Deut 18:22
22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
If God say's something is to happen, it will happen. It will happen completely and exactly.
These false prophets of today may get a thing or two right once in a while. And it is important to note that the demonic spirits which they succumb to are supernatural beings. They have been around a long time. They know the Word of God as well as we do, if not much better. The demonic forces and principalities of this world are not ignorant of
the things to come either. They are also familiar with God's game plan. But they will twist and deceive, and they will mix some truth in with the false. By putting in some truth, they seem to take on some credibility. That's what the cults do as well. They take some truth of God, and then add their own twisted theories and views
to it. People can see the bit of truth that is mingled in, so they think "aahhh... this must be!" But God is all truth! All of what God says will come to pass, not in part, but in full.
- 3) Who is behind these visionaries and false prophets? Where are they getting their information? What exactly is the source? If it is not God then who?
I Jn 4:3
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Rev 20:10
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
(This prophecy has not yet come to pass)
2 Chr 33:6
6 And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
Folks, when a visionary, or seer, or enchanter, or diviner, or fortune teller, or channeler, or astrologer, or spirit guide, or any other type of necromancer is getting information passed to him/her you must know that it comes by supernatural means. It is evil, coming by the way of familiar spirits and principalities, and forces of darkness and
rulers in high places. It is meant to cause confusion. It is meant to manipulate and to suppress the truth. If you listen to these, and if you not only listen to these but you also promote such, then you must know that you will answer for it on that day.
Rev 21:8
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Rev 22:14-15
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. |
