It is a wonderful thing to see American's uniting to help one another, offer support to one another and to love one another.  However where did America get the idea that it is ok to forsake the teachings and doctrines of Jesus Christ in brashly praying together with other religions, especially those religions which do not hold fast to sound doctrine and belief on Jesus Christ?

America calls out to God for blessing, and yet will not repent.  Not only will we not repent of our gross sins as a nation, but we go a step further in our progression toward rebellion and blaspheme by gathering together with all types of "religious" groups... completely ignoring Jesus' commands to be separated from those who do not hold His teachings and doctrines.  The world is getting primed and ready for the coming One World Religion and will not recognize the system of the anti-christ when it is in place, and furthermore, will embrace it.  Bible believing Christian's need to recognize the sings of the times and be vigilant as we draw ever so close to fulfilling the last of the prophecies... The coming One World Government, and the coming One World Religion. 

The following is a portion of an article found on the CNN web site, explaining the events of the Prayer For America Service held on September 23, 2001.

Attendance at the stadium in the Bronx was strikingly short of capacity. Commentators pointed out that the weather was very good Sunday afternoon -- and that many friends and family members still may be too bereaved to attend the service comfortably.

At a few minutes after the 3 p.m. EDT scheduled start time of the service, former United States President Bill Clinton and his wife, New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, entered the stadium to adamant applause, with New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Cardinal Edward Egan and Rabbi Arthur Schneier -- whose "prayer for the country" followed a Blowing of the Shofar, the ram's horn used to announce major events in Jewish life.

And the service got underway in earnest with the Amor-Artis Chorus and Orchestra performing "The Battle Hymn of the Republic." During the familiar anthem, the dignitaries -- including ranking clergy of the Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Sikh and Hindu faiths -- took their positions on a large center-field podium.

Do American's honestly think that God will bless us as a people as we embrace, accept and even pray together with every theology and religious system out there, no matter how far from the truth of the Word of God they are? 

This is not going to go away.  The ecumenical movement will continue to grow right up till the full blown One World Religion of the anti-christ.  If this were not so then God would have told us in His Word, something like..."But the nations did repent and did return to God by accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, paying heed to the sound doctrine which He originally taught..."  Unfortunately, that is not what God has told us would transpire.  As a nation, and as a "global community", we may continue to seek false gods and false religions, and race toward that One World Religion, but we, the Bible believing Christian's must remain obedient to the Word of God, holding fast to the doctrine which was delivered to the saints by our Lord... Jesus Christ. 

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
